本教材結(jié)合中國(guó)學(xué)生的特點(diǎn)，介紹中西方文化基礎(chǔ)知識(shí)，培養(yǎng)大學(xué)生對(duì)文化差異的感知能力、理解能力和分析能力，從而幫助學(xué)生在跨文化語(yǔ)境中，拓寬靠前視野，樹立優(yōu)選意識(shí)，實(shí)現(xiàn)有效溝通，達(dá)到特定交際目的。教材選擇中西方文化核心話題，共分為十二個(gè)單元，圍繞跨文化交際意識(shí)、跨文化交際實(shí)踐與跨文化交際能力評(píng)價(jià)三個(gè)緯度，每單元包括既互相聯(lián)系又相互區(qū)別的三個(gè)專題： 1. 文化知識(shí)專題。系統(tǒng)介紹中國(guó)及英美等主要西方國(guó)家歷史文化、文學(xué)藝術(shù)、高等教育、社會(huì)生活等，以提高學(xué)生對(duì)中西方國(guó)家民族特性、價(jià)值觀念、社會(huì)結(jié)構(gòu)、人際關(guān)系、社會(huì)習(xí)俗等的認(rèn)知。2. 文化比較專題。以文化雙向表達(dá)為核心，對(duì)中西方文化在某一方面的異同進(jìn)行比較與分析，以提高學(xué)生對(duì)文化差異的敏感性和寬容度。 3. 文化探索和實(shí)踐。采用不同語(yǔ)境下的跨文化交際實(shí)際案例，通過(guò)討論、演講、辯論、項(xiàng)目報(bào)告等教學(xué)活動(dòng)，以培養(yǎng)和考查學(xué)生在行為層面上完成跨文化交際任務(wù)的能力。
