馬基雅維利（Niccolo Machiavelli，1469—1527），意大利佛羅倫薩共和國時期的歷史學家、政治思想家、作家，除政治學著作《君主論》（1513）之外，還著有軍事學著作《戰術論》（1520）、史學著作《論李維》（1513）和8卷本《佛羅倫薩史》（1525）等。 導讀注釋者：唐敏，女，畢業于復旦大學英美語言文學專業，副編審，現任復旦大學出版社外語分社社長，在CSSCI來源期刊、學報等發表文章3篇，參編教材《聽力隨身練（新版）》（上下冊），翻譯過《戰后歐洲史》、《凡·高書信全集（第二卷）》等。
