Working Together to Build a Global Community of Health for All China has won wide recognition of the concept of building a community with a shared future for mankind by the international community, enhanced the driving force for countries to join hands to overcome difficulties, and expanded the prospects for win-win cooperation. With the COVID-19 pandemic sweeping the globe, focusing on the post-pandemic era, China has embarked on a new journey of building a socialist modern country in an all-round way, and will firmly support multilateralism, safeguard the international system with the United Nations as the core and the international order based on international law, firmly safeguard the multilateral trading system, firmly promote the development of the global governance system, and promote the building of a community with a shared future for mankind. The past year and more have seen repeated resurgence and frequent mutations of the coronavirus. The most serious pandemic in a century is still wreaking havoc and the world under the impact of the pandemic is undergoing profound changes and is facing greater uncertainties. To clinch an early victory against COVID-19 and restore economic growth remains the top priority for the international community. In the meantime, it is needed to draw on experience both positive and otherwise, and lose no time in remedying deficiencies, closing loopholes and strengthening weak links in a bid to enhance preparedness and capacity for coping with major public health emergencies. The great change unseen in a century will serve as a major opportunity for promoting the building of a community with a shared future for mankind. With the “two overall situations” in mind, China is actively advocating the building of a global community of health for all and thus opposes racial discrimination and ideological bias, firmly upholds international fairness and justice, provides a framework for promoting international cooperation on joint prevention and control. COVID-19 is the most serious global pandemic that has affected mankind in a century. It is a big crisis and a severe test for the world, posing a threat to the safety and health of people of every country and a huge challenge to global public health security. Faced with this unprecedented and sudden outbreak of COVID-19, the Chinese government has put its people’s safety and health first, and regarded fighting COVID-19 as a top priority.
