浙江省普通高校“十三五”新形態(tài)教材。本書分為兩個部分,即讀、寫部分和視、聽、說部分,并分別圍繞著8個主題,從全國大學英語四、六級考試的聽、說、讀、寫的角度進行編寫。閱讀技能指導、聽力策略指導、寫作指導與單元內容有機銜接、渾然一體,既可以作為單元的一個部分(Lead In),也可以單獨使用。 本書是大學英語教師通過對專業(yè)教師和學生的調研,為藝術設計類學生在大學英語學習提高階段使用而編寫的一本專業(yè)用途英語(English for Specific Purposes,ESP)教材,旨在培養(yǎng)藝術設計類學生的英語應用能力和設計師素養(yǎng),增強他們跨文化交際意識和交際能力,同時發(fā)展他們自主學習的能力,使他們在學習、生活、社會交往和未來工作中能夠有效地使用英語,滿足新時代國家、社會、學校和個人發(fā)展的需要。同時,根據(jù)藝術設計類學生的思想特點,增加思政元素,引導藝術設計類學生樹立正確的世界觀、人生觀、價值觀,增強他們的團隊合作意識,強化他們的責任心、社會責任感,使他們能對西方文化辯證地理解吸收,并用英語傳播中國傳統(tǒng)文化、工藝,以及構建人類命運共同體。
