The book “River Mechanics” was part of CIVL-455 (a graduate course of River Engineering at the Department of Civil Engineering, Queen’s University, Canada) by Professors M. S. Yalin and Ana da Silva. This book includes four chapters: The first chapter introduces the basic knowledge of River Morphology, The second chapter introduces the Stabilization of River Course, The third chapter introduces the Modification of River Course , The last chapter introduces Spe Problems in River Course, which introduces the discipline of river dynamics in detail. The purpose is to help readers understand the development law of the river and use its law to serve mankind, or guide it to develop in a direction conducive to mankind, or minimize the negative effects caused by changing the natural process of the river. This book can be used as a textbook for college students majoring in water conservancy and environment, as well as a reference book for relevant researchers or engineering technicians.

River Mechanics (河流動力學(xué)) 作者簡介
戴文鴻，河海大學(xué)博士生導(dǎo)師，加拿大專業(yè)注冊工程師。2009年作為海外高級引進(jìn)人才任職為河海大學(xué)水利水電學(xué)院副教授，從事河流水沙運(yùn)動及河流演變等方面的研究，負(fù)責(zé)講授泥沙與河道整治、河流動力學(xué)、泥沙運(yùn)動力學(xué)與河流演變等本科、碩士和博士研究生課程。 戴文鴻師從泥沙與彎曲河道研究領(lǐng)域國際著名專家M. S. Yalin 教授和Ana da Silva 教授(原著作者)，長期從事彎曲河道演變及模擬研究，在加拿大Queen's University完成的博士論文：On the Simulationand Prediction of Bed Morphological Adjustments of Equilibrium in Alluvial Meandering Streams(全文被加拿大國家圖書館收錄出版，收錄號為W.Dai-2008-1219；pp 215)，針對沖積河流彎曲演變的機(jī)理與模擬展開了研究，歸國以來陸續(xù)發(fā)表了多篇河流演變及泥沙運(yùn)動方面的相關(guān)學(xué)術(shù)論文。 Ana da Silva，加拿大女皇大學(xué)終身教授，出版了《Fluvial Processes》。
