《中英對(duì)照魯迅舊體詩》收錄了魯迅全部現(xiàn)存舊體詩61首，均由魯迅博物館常務(wù)副館長、著名魯迅研究專家黃喬生先生依據(jù)手稿及史料收集、整理、校訂、注釋。由于魯迅的舊體詩用典極多，暗示和影射也比比皆是，對(duì)于國外的學(xué)者，理解、研究、翻譯相當(dāng)困難，因此即使魯迅先生從上個(gè)世紀(jì)20年代已經(jīng)聲名遠(yuǎn)播，但是從沒有國外的漢學(xué)家能夠?qū)Ⅳ斞傅娜颗f體詩翻譯出來，直到今天，美籍漢學(xué)家、悉尼新南威爾士大學(xué)中文系主任寇志明博士才將魯迅的舊體詩全部譯出。因此，這部由寇志明譯、黃喬生編的《中英對(duì)照魯迅舊體詩》就有了填補(bǔ)魯迅翻譯、研究空白的價(jià)值。

有弟偏教各別離。

孤檠長夜雨來時(shí)。 還家未久又離家，
日暮新愁分外加。
夾道萬株楊柳樹，
望中都化斷腸花。 從來一別又經(jīng)年，

1. Careers and plans leave no great choice save dashing 'bout to meet the day...
Thus brothers were mine only to forsake them both and go away.
What scene could make one feel the more alone or sore disheartened
Than the length of night by one lone lamp that coming rains now portend?
2. Returned home but a while, again I'm leaving home;
And now the dusk adds extra bite to sadness where I roam.
Ten thousand weeping willow trees line the road on which I have departed
Gazing deep therein, I see them change to flowers of the brokenhearted.
3. As before, once parted, another year must pass.
A wind ten thousand li in length sends off the traveler's craft.
One word to leave with you I have, and may you mark it well:
'Tis hardly all in "talent" if at writing you'd excel. I strained to listen to an earful of dialects different from my own, while the setting sun was about to sink and the darkness was becoming oppressive. All around me were people from places other than my hometown. Upon thinking of my far-off home with my dear old parents and tender little brothers, with whom I so often wished to talk and tell of the progress of my journey to date, I could not help but feel my heart was truly about to break, nor could I control the tears welling up.
中英對(duì)照魯迅舊體詩(精裝) 作者簡介
黃喬生：著名學(xué)者，魯迅研究專家。1986年畢業(yè)于南京大學(xué)中文系，獲文學(xué)碩士學(xué)位。現(xiàn)任北京魯迅博物館常務(wù)副館長，中國魯迅研究會(huì)副會(huì)長兼秘書長，《魯迅研究月刊》主編。
著作有《陳天華》《自然與人生的盛宴》《走進(jìn)魯迅世界》《西方文化與現(xiàn)代中國婦女觀》《魯迅：戰(zhàn)士與文人》《八道灣十一號(hào)》《銘刻——中國抗日版畫紀(jì)年（1931-1945）》《章太炎：大偏至正》《魯迅像傳》《周氏三兄弟》等，另有譯著多種。
寇志明（(Jon Eugene von Kowallis)）：美籍。海外著名漢學(xué)家，澳大利亞悉尼新南威爾士大學(xué)中文系系主任。魯迅研究專家。本科畢業(yè)于哥倫比亞大學(xué)，師從夏志清教授。在夏威夷大學(xué)攻讀中國文學(xué)碩士，師從羅錦堂教授。在加州伯克利大學(xué)攻讀中國文學(xué)博士，師從白之教授。
著作有《詩人魯迅：關(guān)于其舊體詩的研究》《微妙的革命：清末民初“舊派”詩人》等。
