大窯四道溝地點，經(jīng)過 1979～1984年的連續(xù)發(fā)掘，出土了近 2000件石制品、燒骨、灰燼等文化遺存和少量的哺乳動物化石。本項研究觀測和統(tǒng)計了 1689件石制品，包括下文化層（第 4層）的 1190件和上文化層（第 3層）的 499件。石制品原料幾乎全部為燧石；類型多樣，包括人工石塊、石核、石片和多種類型的石器；石核中存在用砸擊法產(chǎn)生的兩極石核；打片以錘擊法為主，偶爾使用砸擊法；石片中包含有一定數(shù)量的使用石片；石器毛坯主要為石片，加工方式主要為錘擊法；石器類型有刮削器、尖狀器、砍砸器、雕刻器、石鉆、石錐、凹缺器、端刮器、鋸齒狀器和球形器。石器工業(yè)依然屬于中國北方石核—石片—刮削器主工業(yè)范疇。這一工業(yè)延續(xù)時間較長，以開采基巖中的燧石作為原料，制作出了多種簡單的石器工具。
大窯遺址研究-四道溝地點(1980-1984) 內(nèi)容簡介
四道溝地點東區(qū)剖面包含 3條明顯的古土壤條帶，可以與標準黃土剖面對比；紅色土層中發(fā)現(xiàn)有中國北方中更新世哺乳動物群的代表——腫骨鹿的化石；紅色土層底部燒土經(jīng)過熱釋光測年。綜合上述數(shù)據(jù)和資料分析，四道溝地點的時代可以追溯到距今 30多萬年。化石和孢粉分析表明，四道溝文化形成時是比較濕潤的森林草原環(huán)境。9787030435026
