2) analyze the aim of the painter of the drawing, and
3 ) give your advice (s).
You should write about 160 - 200 words neatly on ANSWER SHEET 2. (20 points)

1．**段對圖片的描述應該著重婦女為活魚保潔這一事實。
2．第二段的論述應該圍繞清楚的思想和努力工作之間的關系。
3．第三段的建議應該與第二段的論點保持一致。
As is humorously shown in the drawing above, a woman is carefully cleaning one of the
fish living in a big glass tank. The fish is suffering her hard work. What is indicated in the
drawing reflects a social phenomenon and is most thought-provoking.
The main purpose of the painter can be interpreted in terms of the relationship between
hard work and clear mind. To begin with, a clear mind ranks first in our daily work and life.
It is widely .recognized that life is short and our time is so limited. Many tasks are waiting for
us to deal with. In fact, it is impossible for us to be engaged in everything. Therefore, it is a
must for us to set a clear mind and perform what we need to do instead of wasting time and
energy to do what we need not to do. What' s more, hard work must be wisely employed in
our work and life. It is no denying that "no pains, no gains". But in an era of knowledge
explosion, it seems that wisdom plays a more vital role in success or failure. If we are not
aware of what we should do and what we should not do, we will miss opportunity. In short,
we need to remember "Think before you leap".
In my view, some necessary measures may be taken so as to keep a clear mind in our
work and life. In the first place, it is essential to identify what we are and what we should
do. In the second place, it is necessary to set a main target and tackle the critical problem.
Only in these ways can we do a good job in our limited lifetime. (288 words)
如同圖畫幽默地顯示，一位婦女正在認真地清洗一條生活在大玻璃魚缸里的魚。這條魚遭
受著她的勤奮。圖畫所暗示的信息反映了一種社會現象并且十分發人深省。
圖畫作者的目的可以從工作與思想之間的關系加以解釋。首先，在日常的工作和生活中，
清晰的思想是**位的。人們廣泛認識到：生命短暫并且我們的時間有限。許多任務等待我們
去完成。實際上，我們不可能去從事每件工作。因此，我們一定要確立一個清晰的思維并且從
事我們應該做的工作而不是去浪費時間和精力去做我們不該做的事。此外，在工作和生活中要
合理地利用勤奮。毫無疑問：“沒有付出，就沒有收獲。”但是在一個知識爆炸的年代，智慧
在成與敗中似乎起著更重要的作用。如果我們不能認識到我們應該做什么以及不應該做什么，
我們將失去機會。總之，我們需要牢記：“三思而后行”。
根據我的觀點，應該采取一些必要的措施以便在工作和生活中保持清晰的思想。首先，重
要的是要明確我們的身份和責任。其次，重要的是確定主要目標并應對主要問題。只有通過這
些方式我們才能在有限的生命內把工作做好。

As is vividly revealed in the drawing above, a traffic jam occurs at an intersection. All
buses and cars are held up and pedestrians have no way to cross the street. What is conveyed
in the drawing reflects a common phenomenon and is most thought-provoking.
The purpose of the painter can be interpreted in terms of abiding by social rules and
regulations and stressing civilization. First of all, abiding by social rules and regulations is
badly needed so as to keep a normal social order. In our daily life, many rules and regula-
tions are established including those concerning traffic. But the most important thing is that
we must adhere to the rules and regulations. Otherwise, the rules and regulations are useless
and our society would fall into disorder. What' s more, stressing civilization needs to be pro-
moted so as to build up a harmonious society. It is true that rules and regulations can restrict
our actions. But they are not panacea. As citizens of modern society, our spiritual civiliza-
tion needs to be improved with the rapid development 0f our material living standard．
