一、定位準確、突出幼師特色

二、內容貼近生活，題材廣泛
選材上，涉及文化藝術、體育、科學、教育、旅游、健康、環(huán)保、校園生活、歷史、地理等各個方面。題材新穎，彩用兒歌、童謠、寓言、故事等形式，使教材緊密聯(lián)系幼師學生的實際生活，貼近幼師實際需要的教學內容，使幼師學生的語言能力在不斷地聽、說、模仿、使用中豐富提高。提供具有時代氣息的語言材料，具有很強的時代感。設置真實的語言運用情景，組織具有交際具有交際意義的語言實踐活動。從單純地學習語言知識轉向注重能力培養(yǎng)；從強調語言結構的學習轉向重視功能的學習；從重視單項技能的培養(yǎng)轉向交際綜合運用語言能力的培養(yǎng)。
三、具有科學性、合理性
依據(jù)語言學習的客觀規(guī)律，充分體現(xiàn)不同語言水平學生的學習特點和學習需要。教學內容和要求都體現(xiàn)了循序漸進原則，由易到難、從簡單到復雜逐步過渡。教材在內容、目標和要求等方面都有完整的體系。語言技能、語言知識、情感態(tài)度、學習策略、跨文化交際意識等內容和目標相互結合、相互滲透、相互技持。
四、將語言知識的學習和德育教育融為一體
語言和文化密不可分。本教材重視對文化的滲透，將德育教育融入英語教學。
