實用英語-(第三冊) 內容簡介
與第二冊一樣，第三冊在選材方面力求貼近高職學生的生活經驗和思維水平，除了注重材料的時代性、趣味性和實效性，更加注意選取具有濃厚人文氣氛的材料。此外，本教材還選取部分有關中國文化的內容，以培養學生對外介紹中國文化的語言能力。選材的難度進階標準既考慮現行《高職高專教育英語課程教學基本要求（試行）》對詞匯量和語法內容的難度范圍因素，也在總體上考慮到高職學生對涉外業務知識、主題、內容的認知水準。
與第二冊一樣，考慮到“適用為主，夠用為度”的原則，本冊教材在“Listening and
Speaking”部分貼近了高職高專近年來的考試風格；而“Reading”部分比起第二冊來，課文的長度和難度有所提高，但超綱詞匯仍控制在一定的比例之內，以便學生在學習的過程中以及教師在教學的過程中能夠更好地把握；在“Grammar Tip”中既對語法的基本概念作了簡明扼要的描述，以便學生能夠溫故，也強調語法重點難點，以便學生能夠知新；“Writ-ing”則既強調實用文體的寫作，也注重培養學生的應用能力。
雖然本冊教材與前面兩冊教材一樣，強調實用為主，夠用為度的基本原則，但也考慮了本冊教材的人文特點。因此，在編寫的過程中加入了一些人文學科的內容。本冊教材與第二冊有所不同的是：一在課文選材方面，更加注重選擇那些符合高職高專學生閱讀的世界文化內容；二在語法方面，以**、第二冊句法內容為基礎，介紹了語篇的基本知識，從而為學生語篇能力的進一步提高打下基礎。
