《文物建筑（第17輯）》共收集文章19篇，其中文物建筑研究9篇，文化遺產保護5篇，建筑考古5篇。文物建筑研究欄目的文章涵蓋了世界文化遺產北京故宮北上門建筑遺存、全國重點文物保護單位山西華嚴寺、河南洛陽關林、云南昆明民居調查等研究內容，本輯特邀上海大學上海美術學院副教授賓慧中關于古建筑保護的文章，此外還有河南地方建筑類型研究等，作者均為古建筑研究領域的知名專家和學者。文物遺產保護欄目特邀請蘇州科技大學建筑與城市規劃學院教授徐永利關于泰州南水門遺址的保護與展示模式的研究，還有故宮交泰殿彩畫工藝研究和故宮燙樣數字化研究等。建筑考古欄目則采用了2020年全國十大考古發現的時莊遺址建筑復原研究文章等。
