本書再版修訂與時俱進,體現了時代性。
一是注重國際傳播的視野。加強國際傳播能力建設,全面提升國際傳播效能,需要我們更好地了解世界并做好國別和區域研究。而且十來年間風云變化,世界發生了許多大事,世界又一次站在歷史的十字路口。根據教學過程中得到的反饋,此次修訂在保持原書框架和特點的基礎上,增加了英美等國家發生的重大歷史事件,如英國脫歐、中美貿易摩擦,更新了內容和相關數據,替換了部分圖片等。

張富生，華北水利水電大學教授，校哲學社會科學學術委員會委員，河南省社會科學院兼職研究員，校級教學名師（曾獲“汪胡楨獎”）， “英語國家概況”省級一流本科課程線上線下混合式課程負責人，“英語國家概況”省級本科高校課程思政示范課程負責人。近年來主持、參與國家社科基金、省部級科研項目多項，出版譯著《文化河南》及“國際水文化譯叢”（《水概念》、《水倫理》、《水權利》、《水安全》、《水和平》、《國際水法》、《水緊缺》等），在《外語學刊》等學術刊物發表學術論文50余篇。創建有“英語國家研究網站” “英漢水文化術語語料庫”等。
