涉外律師法律英語(新時代高等院校法律英語通用系列教材) 節選
Below you will find a glossary of 101 key terms you will likely hear as you go through lectures in law school. These terms are grouped by subject. We have carefully selected 101 terms that we think you need to know BEFORE you start your Legal English class or LEC studies. The goal is not to provide a comprehensive list of all the legal terms that will be on the LEC exams, but to review words that most JDs know prior to entering a bar review program. LEC review questions can frequently hinge on the specific definitions of key terms. Therefore, your knowledge of these terms can be essential to answering a question correctly. For some of you who have worked with the U.S. legal system, many of these words will be commonplace. For others, you may be unfamiliar with some of these words. Wherever you fit on this spectrum, please review the following list and make sure you are familiar with these words and their meanings. While we have presented these terms in order of subject, it is important to note that many of the terms could show up in any area on the LEC — questions on criminal law will frequently involve terms from trial procedure, constitutional law and evidence. We have broken these terms up into these subject areas solely to give you some context as to where they fit in the overall system of U.S. jurisprudence.

張法連，中國政法大學教授、博士研究生導師。兼任中國法律英語教學與測試研究會會長，中國ESP研究會副會長，國學雙語研究會副會長，中國法學會法治文化研究會秘書長等職。國家社科基金重大課題研究首席專家，全國人大法制工作委員會法律英文譯審專家委員會委員。主要研究領域：法律語言與邏輯、法律翻譯、法律語言經濟學、法律英語教學與測試、法律外交和美國研究。近年在《外語教學與研究》等外國語、法學、國際關系等核心期刊發表論文60多篇；出版《中西法律語言與文化對比研究》等專（譯）著、辭書、教材50余部。《語言與法律研究》學術期刊主編；國家社科基金項目評審專家；法律英語證書（LEC）全國統考專家指委會副主任委員。
