《從揚州看中國（英文版）》分為八個部分，從“外國人眼中的揚州”角度，多視角、多層次、多方面地展現揚州“中國、很世界”的方方面面；立足于文化、創新、勤勞、共建的意識，傳播“包容通融、勤奮勤勉、崇文尚德、開拓進取”的揚州城市精神，進一步推動“宜居宜游宜創”的揚州城市品牌走向國際、深入人心。全書采用英文撰寫，附有150多幅彩圖。每一章節由外國人的感悟和評價開篇，引發各章節主題下的揚州市委市政府在往日的規劃設計和具體實施中的感人故事，講述揚州人的故事。全書為特種紙張彩色印刷。
