格雷姆·波爾特，西班牙格拉納達(dá)大學(xué)教授，兼任劍橋大學(xué)出版社《語言教學(xué)》雜志編輯。2009年，應(yīng)當(dāng)時(shí)的美國(guó)應(yīng)用語言學(xué)協(xié)會(huì)（AAAL）主席杰弗里·康納-林頓之邀，格雷姆·波爾特在協(xié)會(huì)當(dāng)年的年會(huì)上發(fā)起了針對(duì)復(fù)制性研究的專題研討，那次研討會(huì)上提交的論文構(gòu)成了本書的主體。他的研究方向包括一語中的磨蝕現(xiàn)象和人的感知對(duì)二語習(xí)得的影響。他曾在國(guó)際期刊上發(fā)表過多篇論文，其2010年出版的《二語學(xué)習(xí)研究評(píng)價(jià)》被全球70多門應(yīng)用語言學(xué)博士課程使用，并于當(dāng)年再版。時(shí)至今日，波爾特仍然是復(fù)制性研究的大力倡導(dǎo)者。
