1.時間狀語從句
時間狀語從句一般回答When?提出的問題，并可以用下列從屬連詞來引導： when （當……時候）、after（在……之后）、as （當，一邊……一邊）、as
long as（達……之久，長達）、as soon as（一……就）、before（在……之前）、by the time
（that）（到……的時候）、directly（一……就）、during the time（that）（在……期間）、immediately（一……就）、the
moment（that）（一……就）、now（that）（既然）、once（一旦）、since（自從）、until/till（直到）、whenever（無論何時）、while（在……期間）等，如：You
can keep these records as long as you like.
這些唱片你愿保留多久都行。
5.So the number of stars that we know exist is now estimated at …
that 引導的是定語從句，從句中的謂語動詞是exist.該定語從句修飾stars.we know 為插入語。estimate sth .at 估計某物為，如：
His parents estimated the cost at about$5,000.
他父母親估計費用在5，000美元左右。

battlefield．that if only．．．or cricket作saying的賓語從句。其中的復合從屬連詞if
only(只要)，根據實際語境和語義的需要，可用來引導真實性條件狀語從句，或如文中那樣引導非真實性條件狀語從句。could meet和would
have是用來表示與現在事實不符的虛擬語氣結構。if only的用法如下：
We can sureJy over come these difficulties if only we are closeJy united．
只要我們緊密地團結一致，一定能克服這些困難。(真實性條件狀語從句)
If only she had had more money，she would have bought some more new clothes.
她那時如果有更多的錢，她就會再買幾件新衣服了。(非真實性條件狀語從句)
if only還常單獨使用，用來表示諸如“要是……就”、“但愿……”這類含惋惜、愿望等感情色彩的句子。這樣用時多用虛擬語氣形式，如：
If only they were still alive!
他們要是還活著多好啊!
If only you had come five minutes earlier!
你要是早5分鐘到就好了!
此外，不要將if only(只要)同only if (只有在……時)相混淆，比較：
We are sure you will succeed if on ……
